<p>Portable tube or cable drum comprises a drum body (15) fixed on a hollow drum axle (13) of a tubular frame (12) using a fixing device (14) which has a clamping part (24) with an insertion section (26) which is fed into the drum axle and radially expanded using a tensioning element (25). The clamping part has a stop part which acts as an axial stop for the drum body and protrudes over the outer periphery of the drum axle.
