<p>The engine start device includes a generator (7), a battery (4) charged by the generator (7), a starter (1), an electric double layer capacitor (5) and a DC/DC converter (6). The electric double layer capacitor (5) is connected between the starter (1) and the battery (4). The DC/DC converter (6) has an input terminal connected to the battery (4) and the electric double layer capacitor (5). The DC/DC converter (6) has an output terminal connected to the starter (1) and the electric double layer capacitor (5). According to voltage of the battery (4), internal DC resistance of the battery (4) or internal DC resistance of the electric double layer capacitor (5), the DC/DC converter (6) effects control of charge voltage of the electric double layer capacitor (5) so as to stabilize voltage applied to a starter motor (2) and stabilize the engine start.</p> |
