A limb compression system for increasing the flow of venous blood in a patient comprises an inflatable cuff (18), a pump (16), a controller (14), and a pressure transducer (28). The system collects a signal from the pressure transducer (28) indicative of the pressure in the cuff (18) and uses the signal to determine the blood pressure of the patient. The blood pressure monitoring may be continuous or intermittent. The cuff in use performs intermittent pneumatic compression on a limb the system may comprise more than one cuff. |
