<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag cover of an airbag device capable of being easily opened without applying machining of a recessed part and an empty hole part on a surface skin covering an upper face of a cover body. <P>SOLUTION: A recessed decorative body mounting part 3f is provided on the upper face of the cover body 3 to approach an opening scheduled channel 3b formed on an inner face of the cover body 3. A mounting hole 5a is opened at a position which agrees with the decorative body mounting part 3f, the surface skin 5 is joined with the upper face of the cover main body 3 to form a non-joint part between an opening fringe of the mounting hole 5a and the opening scheduled channel 3b, and a decorative body 4 is attached to the decorative body mounting part 3f to cover the mounting hole 5a. Consequently, when an air bag is expanded and the cover main body 3 is opened from the opening scheduled channel 3b, the surface skin 5 is also opened from the opening fringe of the mounting hole 5a in contact with the non-joint part to open the surface skin 5 easily even when leather which is not easily opened is used in the surface skin 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
