A system and a method for operating a prepaid card, and a program recording medium thereof are provided to charge an interest for the amount charged in the prepaid card to the prepaid card by checking charged amount/period information, applying an interest rate to the charged amount of each period, and charging the calculated interest to the prepaid card. An information checker checks the charged amount/period information of the prepaid card of a customer. An interest calculator calculates the interest by applying the interest rate to the charged amount of each period. A prepaid card operator charges the calculated interest to the prepaid card of the customer. The prepaid card of the customer is a temporary virtual account opened through the online network or uses the temporary virtual account as a charging account. |
