A gas concentration detector and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase productivity and stability of product performance by manufacturing functional units of the detector separately. A gas concentration detector comprises a reaction cell having a cylindrical body(31). In the reaction cell, a hollow portion is filled with an electrolyte(30) having high reactivity to target gas and catalysts(34,35), and upper and lower openings are sealed with gas-permeable membranes(36,37), and an electrode end portion extended integrally with cables(32,33) is exposed in the electrolyte. Cable connection pins(38,39) are formed in other end portions of the cables and inserted into cable connection pin insertion holes(42,43), thereby being connected to terminals(44,45).
