A device and a method for supplying power to a computer and an electric appliance are provided to supply or cut off the power supplied to the computer and the electric appliance for predetermined week-of-day and time by storing a weekly power management schedule to a memory. A controller(1) manages power supply by each week-of-day and time, and supplies or cuts off the power of a power supply unit. A timer(5) counts date, time, and the week-of-day. A status LED(Light Emitting Diode)(7) displays an AC power supply status and a power supply switch status. A memory(4) stores the weekly power management schedule, a power supply stabilization time, a power cut-off informing time, a normal computer shutdown waiting time, a contract signal transmitting time, an internal voltage of the operated computer, and a one-power cut-off extending time. A speaker(6) generates an alarm sound continuously during a power cut-off standby state. A power supply switch(8) supplies or cuts off the power supplied to the power supply unit.
