<p>An apparatus for cooling a caliper for a disk brake is provided to forcedly cool the caliper by attaching a thermoelectric cooling unit having a peltier device on a calipers-housing to receive current signals proportional to braking pressure. An apparatus for cooling calipers for a disk brake comprises a thermoelectric cooling unit(109), a high capacity condenser(7) and a hydraulic sensor(9). The thermoelectric cooling unit has a thermoelectric device(17) attached to one side of a calipers-housing(105). The thermoelectric device receives input current from a generator(5) according to a control of a controller(3) to cause heat absorption and heat radiation, thereby forcibly cooling the calipers-housing. The high capacity condenser is provided on a circuit, which supplies input current to the thermoelectric cooling unit, to temporarily store electric energy. The hydraulic sensor is provided at a hydraulic line to detect operational liquid pressure and output signal based on the pressure to the controller.</p> |
