A method for setting a domain of a DRM(Digital Rights Management) system is provided to enable a device incapable of connecting to the network to receive a license for joining in the domain from a license issuance server. A first device, which wants to subscribe for the domain to use copyrighted contents, generates a domain subscription request file by processing domain subscription information into a file(S10). The first device transmits the domain subscription request file to a second device through the NFC(Near Field Communication)(S12), and the second device receives and stores the domain subscription request file. The second device transmits the domain subscription request file by connecting to the license issuance server of the contents(S16). The second device receives a domain subscription approval message for the first device from the license issuance server(S20). The second device transmits the domain subscription approval message to the first device through the NFC(S24). The domain subscription request file includes ID information of the first device and contents information.
