USER INTERFACE DEVICE AND EMBODIMENT METHOD THEREOF

A UI(User Interface) device and an implementation method thereof are provided to implement a UI enabling a user to understand a position of a selected menu easily and improve an outer appearance of the UI to prevent the user from feeling tediousness in using an electronic device. A UI generator generates a plurality of upper menus arranged perspectively in a first ring and each icon matched with the respective upper menus. A controller(170) controls the UI generator to place the searched upper menu and the corresponding icons to a predetermined area of a screen according to a search command. The controller controls the UI generator to enlarge/place the searched upper menu and the corresponding icons on a vertical central axis of the screen by rotating the first ring according to the search command. The controller controls the UI generator to place the upper menu and the corresponding icons arranged perspectively on a second ring surrounding the first ring after reducing the size of the first ring according to a selection command. The controller controls the UI generator to enlarge a searched lower menu and the corresponding icons when the searched upper menu and the corresponding icons are placed on the vertical central axis of the screen according to the search command. Menus or the arrangement state of menus which constitute a user interface are stored in a menu storage unit(110).
