A method for offering fault tolerance, a handset, and a system therefor are provided to enable a state table framework to convert into a next state of a state table according to an input if wireless access to a server is not available, so that a digital image suitable for the input can be displayed on the handset. A buffer(32) accumulates plural digital images from a server(20) as a handset(30) executes a random application, and provides the accumulated images so that the images are displayed on the handset(30). A state table framework(33) receives at least more than one piece of state table information for storing state information in accordance with the execution of the random application, converts the current state into a detected next state if a user input related to the random application exists, when wireless access to the server(20) is not available, and transmits output corresponding to the next state to a component which reproduces the output.
