An automatic closer for furniture is provided to cause a sliding rail to lead in and damp automatically, and therefore to motivate a smooth operation of the automatic closer. An automatic closer for furniture includes a case(300) , a damper(400) for offsetting the shock when a sliding rail is led in, a compressing unit(500) arranged at one side of the damper and operating engagedly with the sliding rail, an elastic unit(600) for providing an elastic force to return the sliding rail, and a restraint mechanism(700) movably arranged at one side of the compressing unit, to be connected to or separated from one side of the sliding rail. The upper case has a restraint mechanism opening(322), and a damper opening(324) for exposing part of the damper is formed at a lateral side of the restraint mechanism opening.
