<p>Making an alcohol-free wine from wine (e.g. fruit and/or herbal wine) involves a membrane separation process. The method involves flowing the wine which is aqueous by alcohol, at one side of a membrane in a hydrophobic and superphobic membrane contactor, while replacing vacuum or inert gas, at the other side, by counterflowing liquid-phase distilled water. The alcohol separating from the wine in the membrane between the two counterflowing liquids, dissolves into the counterflowing water according to a partial pressure.</p> |
