A temperature multi loop controller and a control method thereof are provided to communicate with a plurality of communication devices or communication terminals having other communication protocols by using one temperature controller. A plurality of CUs(control units)(200) calculate a control output value on the basis of a present value detected from a temperature sensor and a set value and output the control output value to a temperature control target. A main unit(100) performs a RUN control or a STOP control for each of the CUs in order to check normal states of the CUs, to transmit set values to the CUs, to sense present values of the CUs and updating states of control output values, and to store data of control channels of the CUs. The main unit includes a setting input part having a main unit address setting portion and a communication protocol setting portion, a main unit memory for storing the data of the main unit and a plurality of communication protocol routines, a CPU for generating a data frame and a system by executing the corresponding protocol, an external communication module for communicating with external communication devices, and a CU communication unit for communicating with the CUs. |
