#CMT# #/CMT# The sump has a plastic shell (1) with a lateral wall, a back wall and an open surface, and for cooperating with a fixation part (5) of an internal combustion engine (2). The plastic shell is provided with a stiffening unit having metallic hollow sections (4) connected to an external surface of the lateral and back walls. The lateral and back walls have two ends arranged at the level of the open surface, where the ends conform in a manner to cooperate with the fixation part for centering and fixing the sump. The back wall has an aluminum foam block (6) integrated on the shell. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Sump for lubricating an internal combustion engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The metallic hollow sections permit effective circulation of the fluid to regulate the temperature of the sump and lubrication contained in the sump. The aluminum foam block permits to protect the sump against external shocks.
