The device (1) has a translucent and transparent plate (2), whose main surface (4) is lighted by a lighting unit (3) and carries a graphic security element i.e. pictogram. The lighting unit has a light source (8) positioned in contact with an upper section (7) of the plate, and another light source (9), positioned near the surface, towards the edge of the plate to ensure a light for the graphic security element. The sources comprise LEDs (11, 16, 17) such as LUXEON(RTM: highest power LED). The sources and the plate are integrated to a radiator (18) via the upper section.
