#CMT# #/CMT# The pin has a truncated inner circular sectioned dowel bush receiving an articulation axis (2), and a blocking unit blocking the axis that is relative to the bush, where the bush and the axis are formed of steel. A locking unit e.g. groove, has a relief surface that is directly formed on an inner wall of the bush, where the surface co-operates with an outer surface of the axis. The relief surface has a flat side (7), and ribs that are oriented along a longitudinal direction of the axis. A shoulder (9) is applied on the flat side. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Hinge pin for articulating a casement e.g. door and a shutter. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The relief surface of the locking unit is directly formed on the inner wall of the bush, thus avoiding the need of specific articulation axis, and hence simplifying the fabrication of the hinge pin. The bush and the axis can be perfectly immobilized in rotation, thus avoiding the helicoidal movement of untime exist of the axis outside the bush. The variation of the height of the ribs ensures centering and progression of fitting effort during assembling of the pin. The combination of ribs, flat side and the shoulder increases the quality of locking of the pin, in an inexpensive manner. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows an exploded perspective view of a hinge pin. 2 : Articulation axis 7 : Flat side 9 : Shoulder. |
