The invention relates to braking mechanisms of different types of transportation devices including cars, trucks, self-propelled units and other movable mechanisms. A disc brake assembly has a body, a brake disc, two brake shoes placed at both sides of the brake disc and installed in the socket of the body, pressure element installed in the socket of the body, springy sealing pads placed in groove of the pressure element, drive, transitional element, brake pads rigidly connected to the brake shoes. Working surfaces of the brake disc, brake pads are arranged with bosses and depressions that are placed with alteration as concentric circles in axial direction. Each boss of one of the working surfaces of the brake disc, brake pads, which are in direct contact, fits tightly to respective depression of another working surface. The working surfaces of brake disc, brake pads have at least one boss and depression and geometrical form of each boss and depression in cross section is either triangular, or trapezium-like, or wave-like. The improvement of known units of disc brakes is achieved, with increase of brake characteristics without increase of overall dimensions of disc brake assembly at keeping reliability, resource and safety of operation. |
