<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater system for improving of security including log acquisition for a terminal in a LAN without changing existing network configurations. <P>SOLUTION: This repeater system in which a single or two or more layer 2 switches are connected under the same physical port, and a single or two or more terminals are connected under the layer 2 switches, is provided with an address correspondence holding part for holding the IP address and actual MAC address of each terminal and the virtual MAC address as a virtual MAC address: a proxy response part for reading the virtual MAC address of the terminal from the address correspondence holding part, and for responding to the terminal with the virtual MAC address; a MAC address conversion part; and a security check part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
