PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery residual quantity alarm circuit issuing a battery residual quantity alarm after sufficiently using electricity of a battery, requiring small power consumption and issuing the alarm to various types of batteries at suitable timing. SOLUTION: An A/D converter 12 measures the voltage value of the battery. When the voltage value of the battery 4 falls to a regulated level due to consumption of the battery 4, by the A/D converter 10 at the time of a specific operation mode, the circuit makes flow intermittently a differential current of the current value in the specific operation mode and the current value in the other operation modes to a dummy load circuit 6 to measure the voltage of the battery, and the voltage fall of the battery 4 is detected. When the differential current flows into the dummy load circuit 6, a load is applied to the battery 4 at the moment of flowing and the voltage drops. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
