PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of ensuring high focus precision and shortening time required to bring a focus when imager AF takes place using an interchangeable lens designed so as to correspond to a TTL phase difference AF. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes a control section 14 that transmits a lens drive command to a lens drive section 4 so as to move a focus lens 3 to a focus position in a mountain-climbing system. Based on information about the interchangeable lens 2, the control section 14 calculates the optimum moving speed of the focus lens 3 when moving the focus lens 3 in the mountain-climbing system by the use of the interchangeable lens 2.
