摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording composition having high sensitivity and allowing high multiple recording; to provide a hologram type optical recording medium achieving high multiple recording of interference images formed by information light and reference light; and to provide an optical recording method and an optical recording device using the above optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The optical recording composition comprises a binder, polymerizable monomers and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the photopolymerization initiator is a titanocene-based compound expressed by general formula (I). The optical recording medium has a recording layer containing the above optical recording composition. The optical recording method is carried out by using the above optical recording medium. In general formula (I), each of R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>represents a cyclopentadienyl group or the like and may be connected through X; X represents a direct bond, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, or an alkylene group or the like; each of Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>represents an aromatic ring such as a six-member carbon ring and may be connected through Y; and Y represents a methylene group or the like.
