PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance monitor capable of carrying out easily initial setting or data transfer work, with navigation by a display means, after installing a gas meter or finishing replacement work. SOLUTION: The gas meter 2 includes a flow measuring means 12 for measuring a gas flow rate, a setting means 32 for various kinds of setting, the display means 22 for displaying a set content, flow measuring information and the like, a screen selecting means 34 for selecting a screen of the display means 22, a control part 21 for monitoring the measured flow rate, based on the set content, and a meter side radio communication means 25 for transceiving a variety of information. The screen selecting means 34 can carry out switching between the "initial setting navigation" screen for guiding an initial setting operation after finishing the installation work, and the "data transfer navigation" screen for guiding a procedure for the data transfer after finishing the replacement work, and predetermined items are displayed sequentially by a prescribed operation of an operation part 23 in response to the switched navigation screen.
