PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifter capable of favorably using an explosion-proof area. SOLUTION: The lifter comprises a lift body 14 for holding an article, a guide rail 13 for guiding the lift body 14 in a vertically movable manner, a wire-like body 32 for supporting the lift body 14 in a hanging manner, and an elevating/lowering actuator 31 for vertically elevating/lowering the lift body 14 along the guide rail 13 via the wire-like body 32.
