PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently stably removing nitrogen and phosphorus from sewage having a fluctuation of the amount of water and water quality, and an apparatus. SOLUTION: The biologically removing method of phosphorus and nitrogen from the sewage using an anaerobic tank, a non-oxygen tank and an aerobic tank comprises aerating the aerobic tank by dividing it into a plurality of sections from the upstream side to the downstream side, and reducing the amount of aeration in each section of the aerobic tank from the upstream side to the downstream side.
