The mold filling process involves filling a mold (7) with a filling mass (2), e.g. of concrete, using a filling wagon (3), which is filled with the filling mass to a preset average height before moving the wagon to an upper position for filling the mold by gravity through an aperture in the bottom of the filling-mass cavity. The volume is monitored and can be altered to produce the required average height.
