The invention relates the use of psyllium seeds or parts of seeds to be i ncorporated into dry food for dogs in order to reduce the appetite of dogs a t a concentration of over 0.2%, preferably over 0.5% and below 4% by weight of said foodstuff. The invention also relates to a dry food for dogs obtaine d according to the described process.
