<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air gap eccentricity measuring device which can precisely measure the state of eccentricity (amount of eccentricity and direction of eccentricity) of an air gap of a motor, and can inexpensively perform the measurement, and an air gap eccentricity measuring method. <P>SOLUTION: The motor 2 is installed so that a main shaft 12 of a rotor 4 becomes horizontal, and the magnitude of vibration in a vertical direction generated at the motor 2 is measured in a state that the rotor 4 is rotatively driven. The measurement is repeated until the whole motor 2 turns one round while changing a measurement position by circumferentially rotating the motor 2 by angles of 90°. The state of the eccentricity of the air gap 6 is then calculated from the magnitude of the vibration obtained at each measurement position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
