<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating connector capable of securing a floating amount equivalent to pitch reduction while further reducing the pitch, and strong against adverse environment of dust or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This floating connector is composed of: first sockets 2A and 2B mounted on first and second printed boards 1A and 2B horizontally arranged in parallel with each other; and a plug 3 connecting the first and second sockets 2A and 2B to each other; and is provided with an intermediate insulation member 50 covering, from the upper side over nearly the total length, intermediate parts of respective plug contacts 30 between first and second plug bodies 40A and 40B at both ends of the plug 3 fitted to the first and second sockets 2A and 2B. The intermediate insulation member 50 is provided, on its undersurface, with a plurality of contact grooves 53 for inserting the respective plug contacts 30 in parallel with one another to secure insulation of the intermediate parts of the plug contacts 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
