PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-control embedded magnet motor having a structure strong against centrifugal force by using an inexpensive planar magnet in which cogging torque is reduced while sustaining torque and efficiency. SOLUTION: In an embedded magnet motor having a rotor where a permanent magnet is provided in a substantially V-shaped magnet insertion hole projecting radially inward, a rotor core coupling portion for preventing the scattering of the magnet and a cut narrower than the width of the end of the magnet are provided at the outer circumferential end of the permanent magnet in the rotor.
