PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program, an information storage medium, a data transmission apparatus, and a data transmission system capable of more efficiently and properly executing data transmission between data transmission apparatuses. SOLUTION: The PC (data transmission apparatus) 100 is configured to include: a division section 120 for dividing transmission object data; a coding section 130 for coding the data after division by the division section 120; a transmitter side storage section 140 for temporarily storing the data after coding by the coding section 130; and a transmitter side communication section 150 for transmitting data stored in the transmitter side storage section 140 to a projector 200, and the division section 120 is configured to divide the transmission object data in response to a storage capacity of the transmitter side storage section 140 or a receiver side storage section 220.
