PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive insulated wire coated with insulating coating having high heat resistance, and excellent strength and extensible property equivalent to those of polyimide resin, more specifically, excellent toughness, and easily manufacturable property. SOLUTION: The insulated wire comprises an electrically conductive wire and the insulating coating which coats a surface of the conductive wire. The insulating coating has at least one insulating layer formed by coating an insulating coating material containing polyamideimide resin whose molecule end isocyanate functional group is closed with a blocking agent, and polyamic acid on the conductive wire directly or through an insulating layer consisting of other insulating coating material and heating the coated insulating coating material.
