PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce installation costs, power consumption costs and noises of a suction mechanism in comparison with the known conveyor device for the platelike body. SOLUTION: In this conveyor device for the platelike body, a conveyor belt 4c forming a conveyor mechanism 4 and regulation members 4d regulating the traveling position of the conveyor belt 4c are arranged on both sides of a row of inlet ports 3b provided in suction members 3a forming the suction mechanism 3 and arranged in double rows. Platelike suction auxiliary members 5 having an appropriate width and a length corresponding to the length of the row of the inlet ports 3b are positioned to the same height as the regulating members 4d in proximity to one side where the row of the inlet ports 3b of the conveyor belt 4c is absent, and besides, arranged in parallel in double rows by providing intervals 5A enough to easily suck atmospheric air from an upper side, as indicated by arrow represented by a reference sign c, up to the other suction auxiliary members 5 located near. Air can be positively drawn in from the intervals 5A, therefore a single plate 2 can be properly sucked by the small number of suction mechanisms and a small-capacity suction device.
