PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actuate a safety device appropriately when passing through a curve ahead in the traveling direction. SOLUTION: This device includes a curve density detecting part 15 for calculating the density of a curve existing within a predetermined distance ahead in the traveling direction of an own vehicle, wherein based upon a driver's driving characteristic in running a curve learnt by a learning part 16, a determination threshold changing part 17 changes a determination threshold for determining whether or not the vehicle state detected by a vehicle state detecting part 13 is the proper vehicle state preset by a proper vehicle state setting part 19, and gradually returns the changed determination threshold to the initial value when the curve density calculated by the curve density detecting part 15 is a predetermined value or less.
