PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing workability in a joint part of a side member outer panel with a floor panel. SOLUTION: In this vehicle body structure 10, an intermediate panel part 22 of the side member outer panel 18 is extended toward the floor panel 14, and an extension end part of the intermediate panel part 22 is joined with a joint wall part 16 of the floor panel 14 outside in the vehicle width direction. Consequently, position of the joint part P1 of the side member outer panel 14 with the floor panel 14 is formed at the nearly same height with the floor surface 14A. With this structure, sealing workability can be improved when coating the sealer 32 on the joint part P1 of the side member outer panel 18 with the floor panel 14 from the floor surface 14A side (the upper side in the vertical direction of the vehicle).
