The coating process is applied to additional material in the form of powdered aluminum zircon oxide with a grain size up to 340 mu m. This oxide is coated with tungsten carbide in a layer of not more than seven mu m. An iron matrix is used. The additional material is melted onto the matrix using a plasma light beam.
