<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of restraining degradation in the ability to transfer a toner image formed on a photoreceptor to a recording medium, and to provide a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The resistance value of a recording medium P to be subject to image formation is measured. Then, the value of a voltage applied to a transfer roll 20 is adjusted based on the measured resistance value so that an electric field of a predetermined level is generated on an opposite area 32 in order to transfer a toner image on the photoreceptor 12 to the recording medium P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
