<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of reducing a data amount of recorded sound in a sound monitor system for performing monitoring by sound. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 1 of a microphone system 11 sequentially stores a sound data for expressing sound collected by a microphone 3 by associating it with time information for expressing the time when the sound for expressing the sound data is collected, in a buffer memory 4. A voice processing section 5 reads the sound data stored in the buffer memory 4 for each predetermined unit, and when sound pressure of the read sound data is a predetermined threshold or more, the sound data and the time information corresponding to the sound data are stored in an accumulation memory 6. When the sound pressure of the read sound data is less than a predetermined threshold, the sound data and the time information corresponding to the sound data are not stored in the accumulation memory 6.
