<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly configure various settings. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring apparatus is provided with a video data acquiring section for acquiring video data from a monitoring camera, a meta-data acquiring section for acquiring meta-data indicating information on a monitoring target from the monitoring camera, a display unit for displaying a setting screen on which a plurality of filters can be set, filter setting sections C3-1 to C3-3 for configuring filters using meta-data information, and a combination setting section C1 for setting combinations of the filters.
