PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide brush bristle material and brush capable of improving grinding force or polishing force by strengthening the stiffness parts so that the brush bristle material may not be spread at a distal end part, even if bristle heights are lengthened, in the cylindrical type brush bristle material. SOLUTION: In this brush bristle material, at least one kind of diamond abrasive grain or abrasive grain is mixed in a synthetic resin material made of a single wire. When the synthetic resin material is formed from a tip to the wire, the brush is made by mixing the abrasive grain into the synthetic resin material. A plurality of at least one kind of the brush bristles are made into the brush bristle material by being bundled. The end part of the bundled brush bristle material is inserted into a cylinder body and is fixed. A cover ring mixed with the abrasive grains covers from a part except a part fixed by the cylindrical body up to the distal end part.
