OPPOSED PISTON TYPE DISC BRAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opposed piston type disc brake in such a structure as able to suppress effectively the deformation of its outer body part 3c and inner body part 4c relative to each other and easy to establish a lightweight construction by thinning the walls of the two body parts 3c and 4c. SOLUTION: A coupling means set over between the body parts 3c and 4c in such a condition as preventing the two body parts from deforming in the direction of moving apart from each other, is made a bridge part 20a integrated with callipers 5c including these body parts 3c and 4c. The braking torques applied to an inner pad 11a and an outer pad 12a are borne by outer coupling pins 13a set over between both ends of the body parts 3c and 4c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
