PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical agent for inhibiting formation of a biofilm formed by Eikenella corrodens, a kind of periodontal disease-related microbe. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical agent is a biofilm inhibitor and contains epigallocatechin-3-gallate, a kind of catechin formed by Eikenella corrodens, or its pharmaceutically permissible derivative as an active ingredient. Furthermore, the biofilm inhibitor comprises a mixture of epigallocatechin-3-gallate or its pharmaceutically permissible derivative with N-acetylgalactosamine or its pharmaceutically permissible derivative.
