PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal composition useful for the treatment or prevention of an intractable disease having cell degeneration caused by oxidation stress as a molecular background. SOLUTION: This treating or preventing agent of the intractable disease having the cell degeneration caused by the oxidation stress as the molecular background contains a compound expressed by general formula (1) or its medicinally acceptable salt as an active ingredient.
