FORMULATED PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CANCER AND CONTAINING ANTI-4-1BB ANTIBODY AND CHEMICAL ANTICANCER AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition useful for the prevention and treatment of cancer and containing anti-4-1BB antibody and a chemical anticancer agent as active components. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition induces the elimination of cancer cell by the treatment with an anti-4-1BB antibody which is a monoclonal polypeptide having specificity to 4-1BB (CD137) molecule in combination with a chemical anticancer agent. The composition can develop the activity of a specific immunologic reaction promotion against cancer cell and the activity of remarkable cancer cell elimination by the combined use of an anti-4-1BB antibody and a chemical anticancer agent which has only slight suppressing and treating effects on the growth of tumor by the treatment with individual agent and, accordingly, it can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of cancer.
