The coupon printer, for sections (26) cut from a continuous paper strip (14), has a V-shaped blade (18) and a laying compartment (24) behind a delivery channel (12) for the cut sections. Side projections (28) separate them from the channel. A push unit (30) moves the separated edges of the cut paper strip sections between the projections into the laying compartment during the cutting action.
