The steel stack has a spiral-shaped cooling pipe (19) and a heat exchanger (5) with a primary thermoelectric module (6) in the lower area. A primary cooling medium is guided through the cooling pipe, along the exhaust gas heat direction. The primary thermoelectric module produces electrical energy with the steel stack in the upper area, a coil (7) in the inner side, a secondary thermoelectric module (6) and a spiral shaped secondary cooling pipe (9), which is arranged in an intermediate space (4) between an outer pipe (2) and an inner pipe (3).
