<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing throughput down when forming an image on a small size paper with inexpensive constitution, and also having high usability required when trouble is caused in the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When abnormality occurs in a moving means which moves a regulating member to regulate the aperture width of a ventilation port for cooling an image heating means in accordance with the width of recording material, whether or not succeeding image forming operation is performed is selected in accordance with the stopping position of the regulating member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
