<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an inclination guide suitable for a shooting mode such as a landscape shooting mode. <P>SOLUTION: A camera system control microcomputer 109 fetches information on inclination, and judges whether or not a landscape shooting mode is set as a current shooting mode. When the landscape shooting mode is set as a current shooting mode, the camera system control microcomputer 109 judges whether or not the current inclination of a video camera 100 is a set value β or above, turns the inclination guide ON (displayed) when the inclination is β or above, and turns the inclination guide OFF (not displayed) when the inclination is less than β. The inclination β is set smaller than an inclination α at which the inclination guide is turned ON/OFF (displayed/not displayed) at other shooting mode than the landscape shooting mode. This imaging device is so designed that the inclination guide is made to be displayed at a smaller inclination, at the landscape shooting mode at which shooting is frequent at a wide angle of view where inclination is highly visible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
