<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new, improved imaging device and imaging method, whereby a shutter oportunity can be surely caught. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: a drive means by which a focus lens 108 incorporated in an imaging optical system is driven in the direction of focus adjustment in response to the depression of a shutter button 132; an imaging means by which, in response to the first depression of the shutter button 132, subject images picked up on an imaging face via the imaging optical system are continuously output in order for use as image data for all pixels; a focusing position detecting means by which the focusing position of the focus lens 108 is detected based on image data output from the imaging means in order; a focus control means by which the drive means is controlled based on the detection result obtained by the focus position detecting means, and the focus lens 108 is held in the focused position; and a recording means 134 by which image data output from the imaging means are recorded in order while the focus lens 108 is held in the focusing position after the depression of the shutter button 132. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
