PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further simplify manufacture, simplify lift up and blow down control and prevent premature wear of a seal. SOLUTION: Leaf elements are shaped to have edge profiles 3 arranged to associate with each other to create a ring carousel, either about the front or rear edge of a leaf seal arrangement.
